For Competitive Teams: The mock audition segment offers a targeted opportunity to evaluate and recruit talented dancers who are actively seeking college-level opportunities.   • Who should attend?
    This event is focused on both emerging and established college, pro, and industry programs, giving you the chance to engage with dancers who are exploring a range of programs—performance-based or competitive.

 

  • Is there a cost to attend?
    This event is free for college coaches to attend! We want to ensure that your program has a meaningful opportunity to connect with dancers and we’re offering this event at no charge to you.

  • What types of dancers will I be connecting with?

        You’ll have the opportunity to engage with both experienced dancers ready to audition and those just                                   beginning to explore college dance. This event helps bridge the gap of those deciding and exploring – giving you               the chance to introduce your program to a broader pool of potential recruits while providing valuable insights to                 those still discovering their path.

  • Will I have the chance to network with other coaches and directors? 

        Yes! This event is a great opportunity for networking!  You’ll have dedicated time to meet and discuss ideas with               coaches from other programs, fostering collaboration and make connections within the broader college dance.                 community.

  • What if I don’t need to actively recruit but want to attend?

        Totally great!  You can still showcase your program and connect with high school dancers & coaches.

  • Will I be given an opportunity to talk about the program?

       Yes! You will have a dedicated time to speak directly to dancers and showcase your program’s unique culture,                    values, and style. You’ll also have a designated space for marketing materials to make sure dancers know more                about your team. This is a special, extended opportunity for coaches to share in-depth details about their program            and have one-on-one time with dancers.

  • Will I have a chance to watch the dancers in action?       

       Yes! You are encouraged to observe dancers during training sessions.  This is your chance to see dancers’ skills,                technique, and performance styles before the mock audition and making connections.

   

  • How will I connect with dancers at the event?

​       The event is designed to facilitate meaningful connections with dancers. You’ll be able to engage in conversations            during breaks, meet-and-greets, and through the mock auditions. 

  • What is the Showcase?

       On the final day, teams will have the option to perform a routine from their current season in our High School                      Showcase.  This showcase is open to family and friends, and gives programs the chance to perform for prospective        dancers and the community to help build exposure.

  • How does this event cater to both performance-based and competitive programs?

​       Whether your program is performance-focused or competitive, we’ve designed this event to meet your needs.                     Performance-based teams will have the opportunity to share their program’s story and showcase their style without         focusing on recruitment, while competitive programs can engage with dancers, recruit, and observe auditions.

  • What should I bring to the event?

        We will send you a detailed checklist and guide to ensure you are prepared.  Examples of items you might consider           bringing are marketing materials for your program (flyers, brochures, etc.), swag, and any items that best showcase         your program.
