Choreography Assistant Apprentice Position

This is an incredible opportunity to work directly with Jackie Koegel, assisting in the creation of national-level routines for high school and college dance teams. This position offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure in the industry, paving the way for future opportunities as a choreographer.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in choreographing and refining competition-level routines in hip hop and pom styles.

Contribute to the creative process, including concept development, movement execution, and adjustments for team strengths.

Attend preparation sessions (via Zoom or in person, if local) and collaborate on approximately 15-20 projects throughout the season.

Dedicate approximately 10-12 hours per week (or more, depending on projects) to creative planning and preparation.

Maintain a high level of professionalism when working with teams, coaches, and directors.

Travel opportunities may arise if a team's budget allows for it. If not, travel is optional and can be self-funded by the assistant.

The role begins in May, with peak demand from May through January. Additional gigs may arise outside of these timeframes, but these are the busiest periods.
